International chemical law

Chemical legislation is just as wide-ranging as the possible applications in chemistry

It is designed to ensure product safety and liability and to protect human health and the environment. However, this often goes hand-in-hand with considerable complexity.

The REACH Regulation entered into force in 2007 with the aim of updating and harmonising chemical legislation within the European Union. Since then, more and more regulations worldwide are being developed along the lines of REACH. Thus, Korean-REACH, for example, was introduced in South Korea in 2013.

Our many years of international experience means that we can advise you comprehensively on the special requirements of the country-specific chemical regulations.
