Chemservice contributes to the new Global Antioxidants and Light Stabilizers Alliance (GALA)
Chemservice is contributing to a new global industry initiative focused on antioxidants and light stabilizers: the Global Antioxidants and Light Stabilizers Alliance (GALA).
With its regulatory and scientific expertise, Chemservice is supporting the development of GALA and contributing to a coordinated, science-based approach to regulatory developments affecting antioxidants and light stabilizers.
The new alliance brings together companies from across the global industry to facilitate dialogue on scientific and regulatory topics and to support engagement with regulatory authorities and other stakeholders. GALA builds on the experience of the former European ELiSANA initiative and extends this approach to a global level.
For Chemservice, the initiative represents an opportunity to contribute its experience in chemical regulatory affairs and international industry collaboration to a topic of growing relevance for manufacturers and users of polymer additives.
Dr. Dieter Drohmann, CEO of Chemservice Group, serves as Secretary of GALA. In this role, he contributes to the coordination of the alliance and its activities and supports GALA’s objective of providing its members with a strong, globally aligned voice in regulatory discussions.
Donna Mondimore, Regulatory Affairs Manager at Chemservice Americas, is also contributing to the development of the initiative on behalf of Chemservice.
GALA has initially established three task forces addressing key additive groups. Their work will focus on the scientific and regulatory aspects of antioxidants and light stabilizers and support the alliance’s engagement with relevant stakeholders.
Chemservice looks forward to contributing its regulatory expertise to GALA and to supporting the alliance’s work towards informed and science-based regulatory decision-making.
