Be prepared for Brexit

On October 31, 2019 the United Kingdom may leave the European Union and in light of the current political situation, a “no-deal” scenario will be possible.

This so-called “hard” Brexit will affect UK chemical companies and their value chains as they will loose access to the EU market if their REACH registrations are not transferred to an EU27 based company. According to the European Commission “Only 52% of concerned REACH registrants had transferred their registrations to the EU27 by mid-August 2019”.

To be prepared for a no-deal Brexit, the European Commission has set up a checklist:
